I didn't want to spend a lot and these shoes are worth the money. I've ran in them a lot and have been great, my knee stopped hurting like it did when I ran in other shoes. They have way more cushioning and these are a base model asics! However they are not as refined and stylish as the upper models they are heavier and seem a little chunky ( I wear a 9.5!!) The last time I bought running shoes was at least 7 years ago and that might have been the last year I wore them. <br /> <br />I first found these shoes at Kohls, where they were much cheaper ($34.99) but only went up to size 11. Being able to try them on made all the difference but I knew I needed a larger size. I have been so pleased with the shoe: perfect for the gym, with just the right amount of cushioning. There is also more breathing room in the toe space without looking bulky. The colors and design are simple but feminine, assuring me that I don't look man-ish, ha! I have only New Balance to compare and these earn several better reviews, from my experience.
